Allston Trading LLC is looking for Linux and Night Systems Administrators for its IT Department. Allston is a rapidly growing company that looks to the IT Department to facilitate its growth.
The ideal candidate must have the following requirements:
At least 2 years experience managing and supporting Linux (especially CentOS) servers. The night systems administrator should also have similar experience on Windows servers.
Linux systems administrator: past work experience should include server administration functions including installation (and Red Hat Kickstart), SSH/openssh, HTTP/apache, NFS, tcpdump/libpcap, Nagios
Night systems administrator: past work experience should include server administration functions, Active Directory, DHCP, SMTP server, IMAP server, Webmail, Spam filtering, Antivirus, Outlook clients, e-mail and Calendar sharing and DNS
Basic or better network knowledge
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Solid written and verbal skills, especially to convey technical details to the IT Director
Experience in trading environment is strongly preferred
Must have a customer service focus and be able to work with non-technical users
Must be able to troubleshoot remote servers and connection using on site technicians over the phone
For the night systems administrator, it is particularly important that you have the ability to prioritize workload and work independently
